Sega Saturn Collection

Post by BogusMeatFactory »

I finally dug out all my Sega Saturn games and decided to take pics. Mind you, I have no boxes for the games, as they were all destroyed during my childhood (I was young, what can I say?), although a lot of the manuals are surprisingly still in tact.

There are a few missing from the titles shown such as Sonic Jam which, for the life of me, I have no idea where it had disappeared. Also, I did NOT purchase, Myst, The Horde, or the numerous sports games, those were purchased by my middle brother who has no taste in games, whereas everything else here was purchase by my oldest brother, who then sold them to me for almost nothing.

The crown Jewels. Panzer Dragoon Saga. I apologize for the grainy images, my camera is horrible and I have shitty lighting in my home. If you have any questions on what the titles are I will gladly clear them up.

Also, I am working on a project to rehab these games by putting them in proper cases. Should I try to find the Sega Saturn cases via ebay, or should I just create my own custom cover art/spine art and throw them into DVD cases?

It's sad to see all these great games without cases :( I hope their condition hasn't suffered much because of it. As cool as it would be to have the original cases for them, that would certainly end up being very expensive. I would probably buy some dvd cases and go to http://thecoverproject.net/ to get covers.

Don't worry though, they are perfectly safe and have surprisingly little wear (the only ones that have some damage are Magic Knight Rayearth and Panzer Dragoon II)

I keep them in a CD book for now, but am definitely going to get them into some more suitable for a collection. I never plan on selling them, so having the original cases don't bother me that much. I just want to preserve them and display them a little better.

CD books are terrible at scratching. I would never leave my games out like that on a table. LOL anything on the surface can cause scratches on the discs. I always use cases that keep the discs suspended and never touch the surface of the disc. Nice collection though.
Thanks everyone...

I do the same. I end up throwing the cases away, to place in a CD folder. It saves so much room.

I'm in a dorm with limited space, so I leave my cases at home and break out the book. Has worked nicely so far.

Oh God, that was so painful to see.

At least you enjoy playing games, rather than a schmuck like me that spends more time collecting. Hats off to ya.

Tell me about it. I probably haven't played over 75% of the games I own.
