As for the battery life, if ~5-6 hours isn't enough I highly recommend getting a PSP Grip Charger.
They're really cheap, way more comfortable than just the console itself and nearly double your playtime.

You open the slot on the back via the switch, slide it into the metal slot and close, it's that simple.

Re: Where to go
Man it has been a while since I replied to this topic, but I just wanted to say that I have been trying to get used to NEStopia on a lot of peoples' recommendations. Great program, but I just can't get used to playing using the keyboard. I know a lot of people prefer keyboard and mouse controls, but I just NEED a control pad. What do you guys recommend? I know the XBox has a USB controller, but I am looking for something cheap. I am only using an emulator because there are a lot of games I cannot afford at the moment and I can't wait to play them - namely the Castlevania series. So I don't need a lot of buttons, but I am assuming it is not just as easy as buying an adaptor that enables a regular NES pad to be plugged in to a USB port?
I know there are other topics about this most likely, but you guys have been helpful so far so I thought I'd just check.

Re: Where to go
Personally, I've used the NES & SNES official pads with USB adapters. They both work well. I also have a Saturn USB pad that works well.
Re: Where to go
Actually, it is that easy. This is the only one that I've ever seen:vash23n wrote:So I don't need a lot of buttons, but I am assuming it is not just as easy as buying an adaptor that enables a regular NES pad to be plugged in to a USB port?

I personally haven't used one yet, and I believe that they also sell usb controllers (gamepads that end in a usb plug).
What's funny is that I actually just bought one of these while posting this. I've been planning to for a while and this post reminded me. Plus they were like $25 the last time I checked.

Also, do they have these for the SNES and whatever other system has a Castlevania game on it? That series is my current obsession. I think it is NES, SNES, Playstation, and maybe some on gameboy.
** nevermind, they do... and it looks like you can buy them for most controllers. I checked amazon.com by the way, but they are almost 30 bucks so I am sure they are cheaper on ebay.

im very glad to hear that you can just buy adaptors.gtmtnbiker wrote:Personally, I've used the NES & SNES official pads with USB adapters. They both work well. I also have a Saturn USB pad that works well.
Re: Where to go
I just realized how dumb I am, possibly buying multiple adaptors instead of buying one USB controller that probably works for all games on all systems. Do you guys have any recommendations for a cheap USB controller for a MAC that will work with emulators?
