Finally!

Tell the fine folks how you did it. :)

The odd phrases I've been using for the sound IDs have just been random amusing stuff. Didn't just want to make a link that said "Question XX".

I don't know if I did it the right way or not, but here's what I did.

I highlighted the Sherlock Holmes quote as Hobie mentioned. I noticed that the text of the word "address" was slightly larger than the rest of the message. Actually, I first thought that some very tiny image had been embedded between lines, so I looked at the page source code to check the text.

Anyway, I then checked the scooby message as mentioned. It just said to check question 20. So I went to question 20 and copied the address of the audio clip link, but changed the address to read "24" instead of 20. That gave me the clip. After all, that's how Hobie had been naming his audio clips so far.

oh. that's actually pretty simple. I went to #20 and hovered OVER the link for the mp3 and it showed the address as being .... 20.mp3, so I just thought "oh no, that's not it, he didn't change this to 24.mp3". I didnt take that extra step on my own.

Yeah, I actually downloaded the 20.mp3 file several times early on, thinking he was just going to replace the file on his webhost. I think finally knowing for sure that it was intended to be an audio clue helped a lot.

Go back to question 20. Right click on the link to the audio clip and select "copy link location".

Then, paste it into a new tab, but change the address to end in "024sound.mp3" rather than "020sound.mp3".

Press Enter.

You should get to download the clip.

Yup, "go look where question 20 was last seen" was meaning the place where the question file was. The "address" being bigger was hopefully cluing in to the web address. My questions have mostly been alternating sounds and images, so I referenced 20 since it was the last sound one. It was just a happy accident that I happened to use the Scooby Doo sing-song for #22. All that because 24 was going to be easy to identify once heard.

When I put my first question up, I almost uploaded all the files I had ready to go. But then I realized someone might follow the file naming pattern and cheat by checking future images and sounds. So don't bother. I only upload right before posting the question. :P
