Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition Night Goggles

Post by Weekend_Warrior »

So I'm confused. When they decided to include the night vision googles as part of the set, why couldn't they have added a cool extra feature to actually let you use it in the game?

They probably decided not to for kicks, just like they decided to shaft PC gamers with the stupidly overpriced PC version that is so understocked it's almost as if they don't want us to fucking buy the thing.

£44.99 for a PC game is rediculously overpriced (in the only place that actually sells the fucking thing, Game). Do they want us to pirate it or something?

Yea... the PC version of this game is just a mess. With all the ass-backwards decisions they made towards the PC platform it seriously seemed like they were trying to NOT sell the game.

Didn't they also not give multiple "collector's edition" version for the PC or whatever like the console guys got? I've seen some speculation that it's probably Activision's doing instead of Infinity Ward, but who knows?

Either way, I'm still interested in the single player campaign, but I'll wait a while to pick this up.

Also Activision is the new EA.

I believe they actually wanted to let you recreate that scene from Silence of the Lambs... you know, THAT scene.

From the reviews and complaints around the internets, it seems IW/Activision left a lot out of the game...both console and PC alike.
NES | SNES | Genesis | PSOne | Saturn | N64 | Dreamcast | Gamecube | XBox | PS2 Phat w/HDLoader | PS3 Slim| Wii
GBA SP | PSP-1000 | WiFi-iPad 16GB(Is this a game system?) | Modded PS1 | PS Vita 3G

I do admit the Single player is a GREAT experience, the mulitplayer performance seems semi rough and tacked on. Proof? Look at the PC version as you all know. Completely borked. Also when the match host disconnects, it takes a bit to sync up with a newly selected host... I've had it last around a minute some times.

Also, when trying to search for games, it looks for games under 100ms ping, and even the day after launch it was slow to find a decent game. Like Left 4 Dead, but slower.

Now, the mulitplayer gameplay is very, very good. No real complaints there yet. I just dislike IW/Activision for their decisions regarding the pc version. Hey, I at least saved $63.59.

Note: My sister got a copy and I've been playing that one, for anyone who's interested as to how I've been playing.

Yeah the PC version is just a joke. I don't even know if it's worth wasting my ratio on BitGamer for it...

Just get it off of a site where you don't have a ratio. ;)
