Maybe if Scooby and the gang aren't helping we could go see if Sherlock Holmes can find anything at the last known location. What was his address again, 221 B Baker Street?

221 B Baker St. - Apple II, Atari 8-bit, Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS
I doubt thats the answer. I was thinking you were trying to say a Holmes game but there are too many to narrow it down.

This is the other one I was thinking of when you said last seen.
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Apple II, Commodore 64, DOS, Macintosh, SEGA Master System, TurboGrafx CD

But I still don't see enough info to pin point a system at all/

oh God. It does kind of sound like Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego. I hate it for my Tandy back in the day. Haha.

Yeah, Perphary. That's pretty perceptive. I thought Hobie's phrasing was pretty odd, but I never made the Carmen Sandiego connection.

On a side note, Noiseredux, I haven't been keeping track. You have kept a pretty steady track of answering with sequels/alternate platforms on some answers over the last couple of games. Have you actually lucked into any points with this strategy? I'm not trying to pick on you or anything. I think it's a legitimate tactic. I'm just genuinely curious.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

*sigh*

I was trying to make this one harder as the actual thing that needs identifying will be pretty easy. I've been giving clues on how to find the SOUND that's the actual question. And no it has nothing to do with Contra, but it does have to do with my history of questions in a way. :P

How the hell did you guys get on a Carmen San Diego tangent?

I think I only have 2 points so far. That's really not a strategy per se. It's just sometimes people will give an answer and I go off to check out the game they answered out of curiosity and then I'll be like "oh man! It might actually be THIS version or THIS sequel!" yknow?

So is this Jeopardy. We have to answer as a question?

Heh, I'm trying to not give too much away. I've never actually played a CS game. Man, I was trying to be all clever and tart this one up a bit, but I guess its turning into a guide dang it! sort of thing.

Ok ok. Look at my 221 B post from 11:31 again carefully for the clue. Highlighting may help. Take that clue, the Scooby clue, and a pattern from all of the previous questions from me. Also, try thinking like a 1337 haxor.
