Yes, the word Aryan comes from a IE or PIE word Aryos which means lord or noble. The Achaemenid Persians were also an IE peoples related to the Aryans.

I know Iran are aryans for sure
but as for what Aryans are, thats what the French teacher told me. She got upset when I called her Aryan(I thought all original Europeans are aryan), she was like no Aryans are blonde and blue eyed. When I asked her that Hitler was not blonde, she said smiled like she says "I know".

I think the confusion here is the distinction between the word "Aryan" and the idea of the "Aryan Race".

I don't think you were wrong to describe her as aryan, but she is probably viewing it in terms of the aryan race. See:

It is getting confusing,
to me it is like saying, he is Indian, but not from India.
You are either Indian or not. Personally I do not care what is on your passport, its just paper. Your background/culture is who you are.

So an Indian with British passport , he is Indian. For sure he is NOT British.

What if he is of Indian ancestry, but born and raised in British culture?

So as a hypothetical, two people from India move to Britain, get married, have a kid. That kid looks like his parents. He then meets you and shows you his British passport and birth certificate. How do you define him?

Personally I define him as Indian.
Of course this applies to all cultures/backgrounds, not just the Indians.

Someone might ask, when do you accept that a person is part of some country. I say I will accept him that he is British when he doesn't know where he came from, and I can't tell his origins from his looks, accents, religion or any other hint(It will be really hard to find a British sikh, if you find one, you know he is Indian.)

Maybe a lot of you do not like this point of view, because most Americans(if not all) are really immigrants and many can trace back their roots. Yesterday , I read an article that stated the nationalities of some founding fathers of America, some were Irish.
