For those modding in the US, Newegg has fans, all the way down to 25 mm.

I haven't used any, but I've considered adding them to projects a few times.

I think I found out what I am going to do with the Case itself, I am going to use Microballons to attach the bottom handle portions of a non-working Quantum fighterpad for dreamcast to the bottom of the case, This will give me room to put the batteries and Controller board. I noticed from reading some other worklogs that the PSone screen will not fit in an AG-85 without and LED mod, I am Not planning on doing one of these for the time being, but maybe sometime in the future. Anyway, i will have to use Bondo Or Microballons to Glue the top of the psone Screen case to the top of my Now very mutilated Ag-85. The cartridge will most likely Slide down the back between the Controllers handles. If you guys have any questions, Please Comment and I will do my best to answer them.

If you use a pair of 2 litre lunchboxes/tupperware, like I am on my IntoDream project, they are big enough to take a PSone screen board without trimming; so far easier to work with. You see the result you can get from using such cases.

Any pics at this stage DNT?

The forums failed as a result of spam and BWreap.
So I guess I will post here then!
Anyways, I got some momentary pushbutton switches today, I changed my mind about the battery, I will be using a Camcorder battery, eith two Sony 4200MAH batteries, or two Cannon 2000 MAH batteries, It depends on how much money I have when it comes time to buying batteries.
I don' really have enough work done to post anything but once I get the N64 and start to Re-wire I should get some things up.

I didn't use a fan in my Darth64 but I used the original heatsinks and aluminum. So it stayed plenty cool. In fact the unit never really heated up at all.

And get something done and some Pics mister :)

Okay, I'm updating on Friday, that is when i will have almost all of the case done, and will have purchased my n64. the work ATM is all on paper.
My plan is to have this done In four-five weeks.

Week One(Paycheck)
I will be doing Case work because of my rather small paycheck. I will also be getting my N64 this week

Week Two (Tip poll)
Finish up case work (If not completed) Build the heatsinks, re-wire the cart-slot and the expansion pack (If needed) Will purchase Batteries.

Week three(Paycheck)
Troubleshoot, Start fitting things in the case, cutting down the Mo-Bo if needed. If fast shipping on the screen I will wire that up.

Week four(Tip Poll)
If screen did not come in week 3 I will add it in now. Triple check all components, screw the case together and charge.

December 31, 2009
Post working video and pictures of the completed project here.

Bad News: the bank is holding my paycheck for 5 days, this will push the project back, I ran out of money right now, but I am getting my portion of the tip pool.
pics as promised.
Don't worry, the hot glue is temporary, I just put it there to hold it in place for a while while I figure out the placement.
Typewriter keys I will be using-

NOTE, the typewriter keys WILL be closer together than in the picture, I put them like that to show the keys off!
