been thinking about nabbing one of these for my Gamecube. A lot cheaper than a Hori GBP controller! Anyone have good experience?

Alien Hominid looks interesting. It's not exclusive to GC but I don't happen to have it for any of the systems I do have.

I have a few friends just getting into Wii, and I've noticed that brick and mortar retailers tend to have such a constant flood of games that they don't seem to be able to keep the better games on the shelves. Anyway, for action adventure, I'd recommend:

Mario Galaxy
No More Heroes
Zelda Twilight Princess
Disaster Day of Crisis (only if you don't live in NA)
MadWorld
Metroid-anything
Warioland Shake it
Muramasa

You've got a kind of double edge sword coming to Wii a little late. On one hand, there are already a ton of great games. On the other hand, knowing which games to buy can require a ton of research, as there is a ludicrous amount of bad ones.

Which is exactly why I started this thread. Thanks for posting some useful info.

That's a nifty looking little controller. What brand is that and where can they be found?

Short list of my favorite Gamecube action/adventure and action/rpgs:
Legend of Zelda Windwaker
Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventure – but is only soso singleplayer
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle – also only soso singleplayer
Battalion Wars – cartoony but an excellent action game through and through.
Killer 7 – you just have to see it
Phantasy Star Online Episodes I&II – Exquisite MMO Action RPG – 4 player splitscreen.
Pikmin 1&2 – Good realtime action strategy puzzle games. First was re-released on the Wii the second has coop.
Star Wars Rogue Squadron II&III – Great arcadey space flight sims in the Star Wars universe.

Multi console titles:
Gauntlet Dark Legacy – good old fashion hack and slash
Hunter the Reckoning – Modern day hack and slash
Prince of Persia series
Balders Gate Dark Alliance – A good Action RPG (a bit meatier than Gauntlet).
Tom and Jerry War of the Whiskers – Powerstone like fighter
Timesplitters 2/Future Perfect – Simply Amazing FPS titles.
Viewtiful Joe series – Beatemup platformers

I actually enjoyed Four Swords Adventure one-player quite a bit.

Dont get me wrong both Four Swords and FFCC are fun in single player, but once you play it with a competent group it is impossible to go back.

How are you able to find three other competent players? I can barely get some one to play beatem up with me let alone an RPG multiplayer. My dream is to play Secret of mana with others all the way through.

My Fav Gamecube action/adventure:
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Bomberman Generation
Super Mario Sushine
Star Fox Adventures (as long as you don't expect star fox shooter this game is quite enjoyable)
Ultimate Spider-man
Wario World

Wii:
Mad World
Super Mario Galaxy
Metal Slug Anthology
SNK Arcade classics (lots of different types of games)
Wario Land Shake It
Super Paper Mario
LoZ Twilight Princess
Muramasa
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
