Re: Korean Samsung Sega Products
I might go out looking this weekend. Most of what I find may end up getting resold. I think for myself I'd just get the Korean versions of some of my old favorites as kind of a souvenior. Sonic 2 with Korean box art and maybe some of those Samsung controllers for the genny.

If you do find a Daewoo Zemmix let me know. I have been looking for some to no avail.molotovwars wrote:I might go out looking this weekend. Most of what I find may end up getting resold. What made you move from Baltimore to Korea anyway?

If I start to find shops and learn where to get things I will definitely do what I can to help people out.pepharytheworm wrote:If you do find a Daewoo Zemmix let me know. I graduated from my University in May 2009 and I moved to Korea in August 2009 and began a 1 year teaching contact. I plan to teach here for maybe 2 years before going to graduate school. I want to go into the foreign service (diplomat work) and many of the graduate schools I am interested in expect fluency in a second language. I am studying everyday and am learning Korean very quickly. So in short I am here for work experience and to learn the language. I am also able to bboy (breakdance) here and I've enjoyed plenty of other benefits here. I am enjoying my time, but I need to get back into gaming, heh.

Re: Korean Samsung Sega Products
I found 우주거북선 (Uzu keobukseon)!! - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzu_Keobukseon
That alone was a great find and maybe a bit lucky too. I bought a Super Aladdin Boy from him (the same one pictured in my link on the first page) then as I was leaving (and at that point he was already warmed up to me because I'd bought stuff) I asked about a turtle game, but I couldn't even remember the name. He thought for a moment and pulled out a CIB copy of the game. Pretty good condition overall
I told him I was looking for more copies and it seemed like he might be able to get some more for me. I'll bring a Korean friend next time to ask him what he can find. I'll probably bring pictures of that Korean Sega Saturn with the dysfunctional reset button. I read on another site a guy came across one and offered the guy $300 USD and the guy still wouldn't sell. If I can get my hands on one via this guy for cheap, that would be outstanding.
Wish me luck and I'll have pics posted soon.

I friend of mine lived in Korea for a couple years and sent me a few Korean games. Three were for the Mega Drive and he also sent NiGHTS with the 3D controller for the Saturn. One of the Mega Drive games that he sent was Light Crusader and when I put it in my region modded X'Eye, I found that you have a language choice of Korean or English.

Here is Uzu Keobukseon

The cartridge really is perfect and the box is in pretty good shape. Manual a little wrinkled.

Molotovwars, I'm curious, did you just forget to update your location on your profile, or are you going to be splitting your time between Maryland and Korea? And is Korea expensive like Japan? How difficult is the language?
