Nyquil.

Post by KholdStare »

I was feeling a cold coming on so I took some Nyquil. After I took it I started to feel better and I started to feel "good". I feel like I'm floating. How long does this stuff usually last and can you get addicted to it?

Look at the drug facts...
Nyquil and other similar drugs are used as a cheap high.

If you drink a whole bottle its like LSD. I don't recommend it though for obvious reasons. My friends and I were very stupid kids back in the day. The floating feeling should go away after a hour or so if you used the presrcribed amount.

But its probably better than trying to get drunk off of hand sanitizer.

Well, a good amount of Nyquil is alcohol, but the problem is that it's full of a chemical like tylenol. So if you took more than 4 shots in a day (equivalent to about 8 tylenol) your liver would start having problems handling it. I believe that it is possible to get addicted to it.

If you "took" some nyquil, you should be asleep by now.

Nyquil gives me weird ass dreams. It knocks me out too. Then when I wake up, its like a freight train hit me but not like I was drunk, more like I'm moving for the first time. I feel so stiff and numb the next morning.

However, since I never dream without it, I will tend to take some once in a while just for the fact that it makes me dream. Pot has a similar affect while I'm asleep but it's illegal and I've knocked that habit.

Yeah, NyQuil has a half hour reaction to me. If I take it, it will start kicking in around 15 minutes, and I'll be half asleep by 25(and often talking to myself). By the 30 minute mark, I'm typically out cold.

Those dreams are the main reason I don't take NyQuil anymore. I always wake up feeling tired. DayQuil does a good enough job of stopping whatever hacking cough was keeping me up.
