Games You Wish Someone Would Make

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I want Commander Keen 7. It's been what, 17 years since they promised it to us?

Well, all this time I was thinking more original ideas, rather than sequels...
... but if we bring sequels into this, then here's what I'd like to see:

Ikari Warriors HD, Psycho Soldiers HD and Crystalis HD.

(-_-) wrote: I actually like this idea a lot. There isn't so much character creation in fighting games as there is character customization. I remember in Fighter Maker for ps2 you could create your own moves from scratch. The problem was that the interface was very frustrating to use and the visual aspect of your character was just mix and matching stuff from a library. Being able to have a community like little big planet where people share tips on balancing characters and trading their own creations would be pretty interesting. Something much simpler like a 2d fighter would keep me a lot more interested in actually making my own fighters rather than dressing them up. I would most definitely buy that game.
Yeah, I think there are a lot of people like us out there that would like to see this done properly. That was the whole appeal of the Fighter Maker series in the first place, but it was just severely brought down by the unfriendly interface and amount of information you'd need to process just to make one fighter.

Plus, I just never really liked 3D Fighters - aside from the original Soul Calibur, I only liked them because they had character creation opportunities.

The closest we get to character creation in 2D Fighters would be that in one of the Guilty Gear XX iterations, you could customize Robo-Ky's moveset. It was a unique idea, I just would like to see someone go a lot farther with it.

A stealth game that is in fact, 100% stealth. You don't get any weapons, have no fighting ability, and die after maybe one or two hits even at the highest levels. You can set up traps, but doing so puts the guards on edge and makes the game overall harder for the price of removing one or two of them.

Either that, or a compilation of the Mother games for the DS, and a Mother 4.

Oh, I know all about MUGEN. It's a lot of work, extremely technical, and has an awful, AWFUL community.

I'm thinking a game more like LittleBigPlanet, except with 2D Fighters. Great community and easy-to-use tools that anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe size can get into.
Not to mention that much of the MUGEN community is dead or located on Chinese-run websites. It's best to avoid those.

A game I wish someone would make is a true ninja game. Ninja Gaiden and Naruto are not real ninja games. Something like metal gear or splinter cell type of stealth with all of the ridiculous ninja weaponry. I love Tenchu, but it has failed to get the real ninja feeling going with the horrible camera and having to take bosses head on all the time. I haven`t thoroughly thought out what exactly I want from the experience yet. I`m just kind of waiting or someone to get it right.

I waited years and years with no hope for a sequel to Final Fantasy IV. A couple years ago, Square-Enix delivered. I am happy. I will one day buy a Wii just for those games. I already have the whole set on my cellphone.
