longest you've stayed up playing video games?

My friend came to town to visit this weekend and it was video games nonstop almost all day. It started yesterday going to the flea market looking for games. I didn't find anything other than coolboarders3 for a buck, but my friend got syphon filter, driver and okami, while my brother just got a nice snes for himself so he doesnt have to play mine anymore. After that (after noonish) we went to the arcade and met up with another friend and played in there for a few hours. we played street fighter anniversary collection, some mvc2, time crisis3, metal slug3, air hockey, and more street fighter. After that we went to my house where we took a alittle break and watched some street fighter ii v anime. Then around 8 started playing again with; driver, some more street fighter, and some parappa the rapper. we started to slow down until about 10:30 when my other friend got off work and joined us again. All three of us played from 10:30 last night to 4:00am this morning switching between super street fighter ii, street fighter ii turbo, and street fighter alpha 2 all on the snes. falling asleep around 4:30 we still managed to get up at 10.

whew.. so whats the longest you've ever stayed up playing video games, or longest sitting playing games?

72 hours straight non stop, I used to make money off of diablo 2 when I was really young...so it was more or less just having fun at work for me. I remember walking out of my room thinking I saw a flash of light and then just went to bed

I think the longest I've been up straight was about 36 hours for a LAN party years ago. I'd say approximately 2 or 3 hours of that was getting up, packing the computer, and getting over to my friend's place. When I got home Sunday night I slept like the dead and Monday still sucked.

When I first got Metal Gear Solid 4, I played from 6:00 pm until 9:00 am. The game and cutscenes were AWESOME. I also stayed up for around 24 hours strait playing Metal Gear Online.

I played MGS4 strait until I beat it. However, I think the longest I've played is starting playing Counter Strike Source at 2pm then stopping at 3am to proceed on to WoW till 9am

In one sitting? Fastbilly and I used to play...what, about 16 straight hours of PC games every Friday night for months at a time due to the AUCGC? And when Soul Calibur 2 was first released, I played it all weekend for probably 30 straight. By the end of it I had unlocked everything, but my right hand was spasming pretty bad. I try to avoid playing like that nowadays.

I did too, it just took me that long to beat it, i watched all of the cutscenes and it had to install every chapter

Wow you guys are troopers haha. I think the most I ever did was around 7-8 hours of Metal Gear Solid 2 when it first came out. I remember getting to the part where the Colonel tells me that I have been playing too long and to turn off the console. I actually thought it was some feature in the game that knew how long I was playing for, something similar to the Psycho Mantis in the first game where he knows your moves. So I saved it and turned off the console HAHA. Boy did I feel stupid when I found out that was just part of the game.

yeah I cant believe how long some of you have stayed up playing. the only other times I can think off where I played games all day and then into the night and morning would be back when halo first came out, we played all day and night doing the campaign, and then when halo 2 first came out did that again than after beating it I signed up for live for the first time. that took many of my highschool nights away from me.

Me and my friend are playing through Tales of Symphonia together. Every time he gets a chance to come over, we play until we literally collapse from exhaustion [one time we woke up to a rather unfortunate game over screen after dozing off during a fight ] So, we usually play for about 30+ hours, and I intend to break that record during Thanksgiving break.
