Bravo sir. I though I was a sucker for punishment with Deadly Towers.

Yup. Athena gets a lot of crap but I love the damn game lol. It has been a couple years since I have played it though.

super metroid on snes

I was lost at first, you really need some one to explain the game. I never knew it was about exploring and finding stuff. With a shooting arm, I thought it was all about killing enemies. Turns out it is deeper than that.

Although I was impressed by it, I wouldn't play it over again. For me there is a lot to explore and hidden stuff to figure on my own. I really hate it when you have to find your way out when stuck, specially when it is a big world.

Killer 7...it's one of the only games I know of with a sketch factor. I played again months later and was enthralled.

Sin and Punishment's control scheme was really not agreeing with me the first time I played it. I later got a Classic Controller and I've since played it through several times.

EDIT: I completely forgot that after renting the first MGS, I 'hated' the entire series. Up until a year ago, when I played the entire series in succession and fell in love.

This is how I've always felt about Metroid Prime. Seeing as you managed to get over it, maybe I'll give it another go, or then again... :( it is boring

What really helped it for me was getting past the Chozo Ruins. After that the game started getting increasingly more fun.

Final Fantasy IV.

I rented it when I was a kid, and never having played an RPG before, had no clue what the hell was going on. I kept talking to people in a castle and couldn't find my way out. I turned it off and declared it a horrible game.

A couple years later, after discovering Chrono Trigger, I played it again... and to this day it is one of my favorite RPGs of all time.
