...another VGA problem topic. =S
I swear I've hunted everywhere and I think I've tried everything, but still no luck.
I bought myself a Samsung LE32S73BDX LCD telly, which has a VGA port in the back. Ive plugged my Dreamcast VGA box into the thing but the TV's not picking it up at all. I know there's nothing wrong with the Dreamcast, or the VGA box, as I've tried it on my parents' LCD TV (Hitachi brand) and it worked perfectly.
I tried putting my PC through the VGA to see if there was a problem with the port in the TV but the PC worked fine, and when I turned the PC off and swapped the cable into my Dreamcast VGA box, it worked, only with a big border on the left hand side of the screen and the stereo sound occasionally popping to the right but mainly staying to the right.
The VGA box I have is a cheap 'Electronics Boutique' one that has a VGA port and RGB too, with a little TV/PC switch. I couldn't get the RGB part to work at all on various TV's, so I'm starting to think that the box may be a bit crap (doesn't help that it was 2nd hand, for £3 out of Gamestation). That, or the TV is not compatible in some way, like the refresh rate is wrong or something.. *shrugs*
I've got it running on scart for now but one of my main reasons for blowing £500 on this TV was for it's VGA port for my Dreamcast =E
