since you have a Wii, you can play the recently release virtual console Zombie ate my Neighbors with your wife. It's only 800 points and the characters are a boy and a girl.

She may like Lego Star Wars. There's no violence, the difficulty is low, and the two of you can even dick around by hitting/killing each other (it's like the old days with contra when you stop moving so that your partner can't move as well, or when you steal lives).

Consider Secret of Mana. You can emulate on the DC or it's available through VC on the Wii. She can tag in and out whenever she wants. It's one of the most endearing RPGs I've ever played too.

Can't recommend Trauma Center: New Blood enough. My girlfriend and I played the hell out of that game.

little big planet is a good 2 player game... easy to learn, but hard to master, kind of like othello(i think that's what the game was called)
