Dare I say ...

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

atariage.com is a good site that wasn't on anyone's list.

If you like to keep up on homebrew, tehskeen.com is a good news site.

Have you gone through the forums archive for this site? There's a lot of good info from the past. I've gone through each of the sections starting with page 1 and reading the articles that I was interested in. Learned a lot.

The only drawback is that sometimes you read more than you actually spend doing something.

AtariAge is the one stop place for anything atari so far as I can tell. I'm gonna also recommend HG101 and Classic Game Room. HG101 is very informed and finds some really unknown games. Classic Game Room has great videos and the HD series is really laid back and hardly critical so your opinion doesn't really get tainted. This is a reason that I don't really like videogamecritic. The guy is just too negative and sometimes it seems like he is just giving crazy opinions. Sydlexia is a pretty funny site and it has a top 100 list for NES and SNES.

And I pooped out a fully grown giraffe last night. It's okay though, Gandhi was there to nurse the animal back to health. I'd tell you more about it, but I'd be late for my meeting with Batman. He gets grumpy when I'm late. That, and Gotham is over a half hour drive from here.

I like this site. If you are looking for more retro game sites, Google is your friend.

Any topics in particular you liked? We are always looking for good ways to present our old forum topics that were openly useful.

Also, for a more contemporary site, check out GiantBomb. It has two reviewers who used to work for Gamespot and they have a reviewing style that I can respect. They also have a good amount of pictures for a good range of games.

And every now and again we ask in the forums if there are any articles you guys would like to see. I know I've been asked for a Gamecube survival horror article, but what else is there you'd like?

Modding your console is a topic that's always of interest to me. But I just read a lot of the topics, starting with Sega forum, Nintendo forum, etc. I enjoyed reading the posts that were discussing the upcoming Revolution (Wii) console. It's all interesting reading.

But the one topic that is always of interest is modding your console. So perhaps more articles on how to mod your PS1, Gamecube, etc would be of interest. I have a lot of the knowledge that I have by reading lots of forum archives.

Another topic of interest might be emulators. How to find them and how to get them to run. Some of the emulators are difficult to get going.

I'm suggesting these articles more for other and future noobs, not for my benefit. But I would be glad to share my knowledge where it's applicable.
