Dare I say ...

Post by h8b1llg8ts »

Look I don't want to but I must you have no idea how bad things are over here ... but here it goes:

Can you recommend me some other classic video game websites?

It's not as bad as you think were done with our Fall time admissions here and I have nothing left to do. My daughter will not let me take my DSi to work and I've played all my PSP games to death. I've read everything on racketboy and have almost bought every game on Ebay. I was just looking for some other great sites like racketboy. I also enjoy looking at gamerooms so anything along those lines would be gggrreeeeaaaat, ok.

Why not spend time on YouTube, hundreds of excellent videos to choose from, to keep you amused.

video reviews are great deadpan humor

Short and sweet reviews

http://www.pcengine.co.uk/
PC Engine/TG-16 reviews with gameplay videos

Second nomination for HG101. That site just makes my want list all fat and bloated though.

Alright, so here's where I become a total shill, but it's for a good cause:

I'm a staff writer for GameCola.net, which is a videogame humor website that does funny reviews and columns for everything from Atari to PS3. We're moving from a monthly newsletter format to looking like a real website, but the archives go back to 2002! Plenty to read.

We've also got a YouTube channel, GCDotNet, where a few of us post playthroughs and walkthroughs of games such as Phoenix Wright, EarthBound, Day of the Tentacle, and the NES Mega Man games.

Hope that helps!

You could hit the video game section of TV Tropes too. Just that section alone will keep you busy for days.

Ummmm....

Digitalpress.com
Assemblergames.com
segagagadomain.com
sega-16.com
pcenginefx.com
pcengine.co.uk
neo-geo.com
rfgeneration.com

and on, and on...

I'm a bit of a Sega/NEC fanboy I guess.

oh yeah, digitalpress is good too.

HG101 rules, but as Hobie pointed out it makes you want a lot more stuff.

RFGen is awesome for it's database... meaning you can easily catalog your collection.

backloggery, too

HG101 doesn't have enough games. :P But, it does have GREAT write-ups for the games it does have! More than enough to keep most people busy for a long time.
