Yeah I know about this but theres been no development for awhile (as far as I know) becasue I think they have realised that the serial port connectors peices are rare and go for ridiculous money.

I have a coders cable with the serial port connector but am keeping that complete and doing it internally.

So is there anyone who can help translate the drawing........ :?

I think you're better off posting your question in a forum that does hardware hacking/electronics type of stuff. I don't think you'll find that many people who do that sort of stuff here. Perhaps you could take it to a local electronics shop?

I have a EE background but haven't done this stuff for ~20 years or so. Here's my interpretation of the drawing.

Serial pins 1 & 2 are not connected (open).
Serial pins 3 & 8 are tied to ground (earth)
4,5,7 are as you mentioned.
Serial 6 is as you mentioned.
Serial 10 goes to a 470 Ohm resistor before an LED. It also goes to a 47 microFarad and .1 microFarad capacitor. Not sure why the two capacitors are different in drawing but it could mean something.
The other pins are as you mentioned.

All in all, I think you did a good job interpreting the drawing.

The 47 uF looks like a polarized cap while the 0.1 uF is unpolarized.

I am very interested. I just read Gagaman's piece on the other sd reader:

and this opens a whole other set of options to play with. Sadly it still doesnt help us to getting lanplay or a new master server, but any step is a good step.
