agreed, but by game four i would have considered moving howard for someone who was producing... in this game, my point is moot, however, as NO ONE is producing!dsheinem wrote:Nah - Ryan was a RBI king in the NDLS/NLCS.vash23n wrote: from the beginning werth should have been put in the cleanup and ryan in his spot.
It'll be tough against Rivera, but I am crossing my fingers and hoping...boo phillies offense, but maybe we could have a raging comeback...

Re: The 2009 World Series
Matsui was awesome. Great to see him have a nice postseason after battling all those injuries. But if it was up to me, MVP to Rivera. If Yankees were ahead after 7 innings, you know they won the game
1ER in 16 innings. Cheers to that!

I think I'll take a shot every time I hear the word payroll on ESPN.

Re: The 2009 World Series
Matsui and Rivera were stellar. What I like most about those guys is how unaffected they were by it all. They just kept their heads down and competed like mad. As fan of the game, it is nice to see a guy like Matsui have such a huge contribution and big spotlight in MLB and the WS after doing the same in Japan for many years. Baseball is a more international sport than many think.
