The "no pain" girl I'd be surprised to know she was healthy. She probably has messed up joints or other damage that someone normal wouldn't have because we get pain feedback to avoid certain kinds of damage.

I saw a documentary once about a kid like that and he was about 5 or 6 years old. Real nightmare for the parents really. For example, he just jumped without bending the knees on landing and other stuff like that, that normal people do naturally and that not only avoids pain but protects the bones etc.
Sort of funny (but sad) - the parents were saying how bad it was that the kid had realized that he could basically get anything he wanted by repeatedly banging his head on something.

Reading over the girl's responses I did see that she chewed off her taste buds and so now is just tube fed (can't taste and this avoids having to worry about food being too hot or cold).

That's really impressive that the CIPA girl has managed to live to 19. A common problem for babies with the condition is that they scratch their eyes while sleeping because there's no pain reflex to prevent it.

Nah chief, she can feel emotional pain. It's unfortunate that she's an atheist, however, as I don't know if she can perceive the soulcrushing that is Batman: Dark Tomorrow.

A person like that would not survive very long in a ufc environment so it wouldnt matter if they made big bucks or not. They would likely die from unkown serious injury.

EDIT: also does anyone know if the AMA with the guy with alexithmia is still going on? I found the session to be interesting and would excited to see any updates.
