So will Pedro come through tonight?

Here's hoping the Yanks endure a crushing defeat tonight and tomorrow to close out the year at their new stadium!

I have my doubts. I'm expecting chants of "Who's your Daddy" as long as he is on the mound.

But! If Pedro can pull out a solid 6 innings with an era below 3.00, the Phillies have a chance. I'm also concerned about the Phil's bullpen.

All that being said, if the Yankees win, which I think will happen, it should not come as a surprise. It really should be default that the yanks win. The fact they haven't won a w.s since 2001 is incredible. It's amazing that the majority of people consider the 2008 champions an underdog. I'll be sporting my "Phlyers" sweater tonight, worked for me last game.

At this pace, this game will be on until midnight. Wonder if that's Joe's plan?

Hey, you and I know both know this; Whoever is the first to question the pitcher is responsible for the pitcher's performance.

aside from our current situation, none of these games have been blow outs in the yanks favor... you can't blame the pitcher for not getting a shutout every game - that just shows how spoiled we are by cliff lee... there is one reason we have lost these games and it is because our offense blows. we have stranded way too many runners in this series. from the beginning werth should have been put in the cleanup and ryan in his spot. we would have had something a little better than solo homers. utley just watched 2 perfect pitches go by, the second he could have hit into the next state blindfolded. the yankees have equal pitching to us i think, but their offense is hitting balls. boo phillies offense, but maybe we could have a raging comeback...

Nah - Ryan was a RBI king in the NDLS/NLCS.

It'll be tough against Rivera, but I am crossing my fingers and hoping...

Matsui's been a monster. He really is Godzilla. Yanks have played incredibly well. Their lineup is just killer. Ultimately I think two things have killed the Phils. They just didn't have the pitching to keep up and Ryan Howard hasn't really shown up.

They still have a couple innings left, though ......

I admit, my hat goes off to Matsui, he was the king of this game! Let's sign him next season!
