Just saw a comic making fun of this and I thought it was a made up device, quick search and a cnet news article shows me other wise. So now I must ask, is this really necessary, will anyone actually Want this? Or is it, similar to the PSP GO, going to make the regular DSi look like a bargain by comparison? It's no longer pocket sized, has a JUMBO stylus and probably still doesn't give us back the GBA cart despite all that extra space.

me too, but I was also surprised that it was announced with such little fan fare that NOA had to be asked if they were releasing it, to which they pretty much just said "Yes" with no pricing or color info. One week later and the peoples of the Internet are finally figuring it out.
If you know someone well enough, typed sarcasm works. On a forum, even if you know someone, it can still be hard to tell. So I suggest the blue font, you jackasses.
The DSi and DSLite are perfect for the pockets. This thing looks way too big for me to want it. Plus with the DS's low resolution screens, smaller would probably be better anyway.

Ill be getting one - Just think of it as the big print version for those of us who are vision impaired. Also I still use a launch DS so itll be a nice upgrade. I just wish I could use the spinner on it since it would be perfect for Space Invaders Extreme. I will just keep it in my laptop/messenger bag that I carry with me most places anyway (along with a set of polyhedral dice and a deck of cards).
I cant wait till it comes out. PSZ will be ripe for it (even though I will have beaten it before then). That reminds me PSZ is next week. Must finish Borderlands...

"no Dungeon Master worth his weight in gelding goes anywhere without his 20-sided die."
