What Almost Was: Diablo on the Gameboy

It's so amusing to see what developers tried to cram on the original Gameboy:

I finally gave Diablo 1 and 2 a chance recently. I find 1 absolutely worthless, but 2 is fantastic. I hate all MMOs, but I realize that Phantasy Star Online pretty much copied Diablo 2 in all ways except setting. That's probably why I feel so comfortable with it.

Diablo 1 isn´t completly worthless if anything the graphics are good for a game released in 1996..and in fact i´d say diablo 2 is too big considering how repetive the gameplay is.

I guess this goes down as one of the slightly great achievements on the GB, like Cannon Fodder, Donkey Kong Country, the original RE Demo pics (not the released game, lol), and other such games. Reminds me of how Hellraiser was supposed to be coming to the NES. Too bad there isn't a prototype of that anywhere. :( This would've worked on the GBA though...

A DS or PSP Diablo game could be cool. Lol, mebe a Wii version! :P
