These are what I've found available. I'm leaning toward the Altona one because it can convert both ways. I also don't want to pay more than $300. Does anyone have any experience with any of these models?

Re: Trying to decide on a good VGA -> Component box
Lol, if only that was the problem. I have to travel for work and am only home for maybe 4-6 months of the year. The hotels I'm put into usually have big screen TVs, but they're nearly always old ones. I've yet to find one with a HDMI connection let alone a VGA input. It's been pissing me off to no end to have my laptop there, hooked up using a crappy yellow RCA jack when I know the things can do better. This last job I had a 48" CRT TV. Do you know what a composite PC image looks like on one of those?
Edit: I did buy the Altona one. I works great except the firmware mine came with doesn't support 240P input from component. Every other combination of VGA/Component conversion worked flawlessly with no noticeable noise (even tho it has a noise reduction option). It remembers any options you select even when unplugged. It's OSD has many options for scaling, color and sharpness, tho navigating it with the 3 buttons is a bit of a chore. It's very well built, made of thick metal and a small form-factor. I have no complaints as it works exactly as advertised.
