As I also live in Kalamazoo (small world eh) I agree with everything above and MORE. I know I shouldn't really mention names but this store deserves it. GAME WAREHOUSE - I salute you for being the worst retro store I have ever had the displeasure of going to. So many bad things are said about this store it's a wonder they still get frequent business.lisalover1 wrote:The worst part is that the only other true retro game store in town is run by a bunch of good-for-nothing potheads who steal your stuff when you send it in for repair, and still make you wait months for the possibility of getting it back. The dickheads who are charging $300 for a Jaguar with no cables, controllers, or games, and $100 for Phantasy Star Online for the Gamecube; just the disk and nothing else. That's bullshit. Gameplaze can't leave; it's one of the cornerstones of my retro gaming life.
However - with gamewarehouse being an abomination, and gameplaze (while their owners are awesome people) being pretty overpriced, there is another store just off of Romence Rd. (by the D&W fresh grocery store) called Second Chance that is far and away the best place to go to. The prices are the fairest you will ever find in a retro store (some even too fair IMO) and everything is just so clean and inviting, in my experience, if you go there once you will not want to shop anywhere else in the surrounding area.

See, if this were an 80s movie, you'd cue some kind of car wash montage, then you and your friends end up earning enough money to just buy the store and keep it afloat.lisalover1 wrote:What? This place is closing? Damn it, I go here every weekend! Why do they have to close? I've been going here about once every week or two fro the last 2-3 years, and they're closing? This sucks. This really, really sucks. It even looks like they're closing their second location.

Wouldn't there also be some asshole with an opposing car wash who wants to buy the store with no motive other than to screw you over?dedalusdedalus wrote:See, if this were an 80s movie, you'd cue some kind of car wash montage, then you and your friends end up earning enough money to just buy the store and keep it afloat.lisalover1 wrote:What?
