Seriously, What Happened To Nintendo?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Why do people always complain about games being released. Dont buy them, with the world we live in today you pretty much know what your going to be getting, so people who want games for little girls and buy games for little girls, if you don't want it STOP BEING A LITTLE GIRL.

Yeah I gotta agree with everyone else man. Buy a wii if you wanted it in the first place. Ignore the baby and get what you like. Not calling you out but if you were truely gonna get a wii you wouldn't let that stop you.

Its not like there are so many better games on the other systems anyways.

There's a very simple reason why the Wii has lost steam...
Everyone fucking bought one already! Even though news sites may show otherwise, but I can't imagine Ninty thinking "Yeah, these record breaking sales are going to keep going."

I think the real advantage of a Wii is this:

1)Gamecube games , you can even play them pirated, I heard this was difficult on the gamecube itself. I believe that it was a console that many people missed on so its worth it.

2)VC and Homebrew Channel: To have a console that will play SNES/NES/GENESIS/NeoGeo/64 and more consoles in one system hooked to my TV is more appreciated that you will ever think.

Otherwise, the Wii games might be good but the ps3/360 offer better choices. If you wish for Wii games I bet it will be dirt cheap within couple of years due to high second hand ones and cheap cheap technology used. it will be like buying NES when the 64 is out.

As for Nintendo, they have big enough installed base. Time to crank out the good games.

Here is Nintendo's recipe for success:
F-Zero Wii
Starfox Wii
Mother 4
New & Compelling Original IP

The only problem is, every time someone says this, Nintendo hears "New Super Mario!" and "New Wii ____!"

yes, it's really simple. buy the games you want and ignore the games you don't want = everybody happy.

remember the wii system is made for ALL AGES male and female.

I just bought a wii a week ago. I bought it for wii fit for my gf. I also bought it for vc junk. I already had a game cube. There is a lot shovel ware on the wii (not there isn't on every system). They are releasing more mature titles now. Another was for House of the Dead overkill. That is reason enough.

I always have a déjà vu sensation when I see these topics popping up every once in a couple of months because of some new peripheral Nintendo is putting out or maybe just licensing.

What was last time's outrage for, anyone remember? Maybe for the bicycle peripheral?

I dunno. I can understand his point. Just going down the wii game aisle at best buy is kinda embarassing.

I was looking at the release dates for wii games, and on october 20 alone there were like 25 games released, all shovelware.

Really this system isn't that much different for nintendo. The complaint with them has always been that you buy a nintendo product primarily for the 1st party games, and then the quality releases are few and far between. It's pretty much the same this generation except A.)The amount of crap coming from 3rd parties is about 10 times what it was for gamecube/n64/snes and B.)Some of those few and far between Nintendo releases have been no better than the 3rd party shovelware.

It's really the same argument we've been hearing from nintendo fans for the last 20 years, except now nintendo is actually making tons of money. . . . from 6 year olds.
