Hamels looks good through one...glad the game finally got started.
For those of you not interested in baseball, Hamels made some game news this weekend:

There's a shit-storm in the comments there, but I fall on the side of those disappointed that Infinity Ward would be promoting their game with the F.A.G.S. acronym. I hope Hamels had nothing to do with that particular part of the ad, although I found his bit pretty funny.
Anyway, interesting to see video games and the World Series combine....
The 2009 World Series

My wife and I were just talking about Hamels and the commercials he's in. He's always pretty funny. Especially the comcast one where they show his girly little dog following him around.dsheinem wrote:Hamels looks good through one...glad the game finally got started.

Bah. Stupid Yanks. Their lineup is starting to shine. Ryan Howard needs to step it the fuck up. I'm a fan because he went to my university (Missouri State). I followed the team pretty closely the years he played. They went to the College World Series in 03.
Re: The 2009 World Series
Not a fan of the "Camera Call". That should have been a playable ball.
Re: The 2009 World Series
Agreed, everyone is playing pretty well and doing their part for the team, except Howard. He needs to explode in tonight's game or they need to take him out of the cleanup position for the time being. Maybe switch him with Werth. That way we can get something other than a solo homerun for once.RadarScope1 wrote:Bah. Stupid Yanks. Their lineup is starting to shine. Ryan Howard needs to step it the fuck up. I'm glad for that safe at home blown call - but I'm really getting sick of how much influence the umps are having in this series because of missed calls...
