Re: Mega Man 3 MS-DOS version
Look at poor Mega Mans expression in the pic. Even he knows its a bad game.

Let's see if I can name all the sprites they appropriated to create their robot masters.Ack wrote:

Oil Man is Flash Man
Shark Man is Crash Man (though that's a stretch, it feels to be the most unique of the boss portraits)
Blade Man is Metal Man
Torch Man is Magnet Man

i used to have this on CD rom, i think it played on DOS too.
but whenever i played it i was using windows 98 and the game ran EXTREMELY FAST, like so fast i could never tell what im doing because as soon as i hold the right key down i'd be half way across the screen. i think i still have it somewhere.

Ah, the days of using what was in essence a for (1 to n) loop to control timing. Apparently if you're incrementing on every cycle then if you multiply the number of cycles by 10 (going from 20 MHz to 200 MHz) it will increment 10 times as fast.IcKy99 wrote:i used to have this on CD rom, i think it played on DOS too.

I'm 28 and still not quite sure what he was trying to explain.
Re: Mega Man 3 MS-DOS version
i think what he's trying to say is
old game designed for a old computer = fucked up & sped up on a decent one

Re: Mega Man 3 MS-DOS version
i didn't read the article thoroughly since i could tell how awful this game is by the way it looks. from the ending screen, it looks like it was programmed by two guys with the same last name (brothers?) and it said "megaman concept - capcom", which leads me to believe capcom wasn't even involved. hell, they probably didn't even approve this game, consider how high quality capcom games were back then.
