The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

I do love a good pitcher's duel...but not when a WS win is on the line....they better get the bats swinging!
Good to see a fellow Phils fan. Where in PA is Wayne, anyway?

We went to tons of games too - including Schmidt's last game. After the strike, it took me forever to get back into baseball.

Holy cow. Did you see that behind the back catch by Lee?
I did.
Hope you did too.

I am a huge Phillies fan and my wife and me are definitely watching tonight. I understand anyone who is sad to have seen Cliff Lee go. He became a hit the moment he put on a Phillies uniform. Go Phillies!
As for the strike. My whole family, even my dad who hates sports, would sit around and watch the Phils play while I was growing up. We went to tons of games too - including Schmidt's last game. After the strike, it took me forever to get back into baseball. Now I am the only one left who really watches in my family, and my passion for baseball will never be as big as my passion for hockey where as they used to be equal. Go Flyers!!!
The hockey strike didn't bother you though?
and yes I'm watching the series, always do. I'm baseball fan, not from New York or a bandwagon fan, so yes I'm rooting against the Yanks. Go Philly, good midwest town, with some interesting fans to say the least, but they were starved before last year, so give em some back to back love.

The one he made with the shit eating grin? That was good too.dsheinem wrote:hell yeah!Luke wrote:Holy cow. Did you see that behind the back catch by Lee?I preferred his "nonchalant" catch a few innings ago though...
I'd put some bank on a bet that Lee has at least 2 of the top 10 plays on SCenter tomorrow.
Wow. To think if the "Frillies" shut out the yanks at home in game one.

Yeah - I have been extremely impressed. He did this kind of thing against lesser teams, but these are the Yankees!! This first game is a big one, and they look even better than I thought they might...

Wayne is right outside Philadelphia, down the street from Villanova University.dsheinem wrote:I do love a good pitcher's duel...but not when a WS win is on the line....they better get the bats swinging!

And that behind the back catch was unbelievable. I have to say that Lee is just a great player overall to have on the team. Aside from his skills as a player, his personality goes a long way. He is never uptight on the bench. Not one of those pitchers who doesn't talk to anyone between innings. I imagine it must be uplifting having him on the bench keeping this light.
Nice win Phils! Wish it had been a shut out, but I will take it!
