Personally, I've been using one since day one.
To make a long story short, I need a new one this month and was willing to pay $10 for a couple of quality ones just to keep my mind at ease.
Am I the only one that feels the need to baby their DS's screen?
DS Users: Do You Use Screen Protectors?
I don't for my DS, I'm really careful with those.
But my ipod I use the "Invisible Shield" from http://www.shieldzone.com/ they are seriously awesome and 10x better than anything else on the market.

Well, I'm not worried about the screen from "normal" wear (I don't use one on the top screen. I'm just thinking about the stylus scratching the screen. I've seen the wear my protectors go through after many rounds of Meteos.fastbilly1 wrote:I had a palmpilots screen blow out, so I take care of those (however the battery died on my zodiac so I am not happy right now). However on the DS front, I feel the clamshell design is enough to protect it most of the time. So to answer your question, no I dont.

Ah. Well I did the miniature warfare thing for some time so after painting so many of those little people your hand gets light when it comes to delicate things like this. Though I cant seem to solder worth a damn.
If I did not have that experience you can believe that I would have gone an got a palm screen protector and cut it to fit. Come to think of that, I might do that anyway. Ill have an extra one for my GP32 then.

For my DSes, I don't use screen protectors. I feel that they always distort the image somwhat and that annoys me quite a bit. I have two DSes (long story), a silver one I carry around (it's all scratched on top and the bottom screen seems a bit scratched as well) and a Nintendogs Teal one I keep safe at home and barely use. I don't have any scratches on the latter and I only think I have scratches on the former because I have let others play with it. Tbh, in the dark and most lighting conditions, I can't see any of the scratches. Only in brightly lit areas can I see them. I simply don't worry about it. Of course, I worry about what will happen with second hand DSes once they become a generation or two old...I mean most GBs have tons of scratches on their screens, I can't imagine some of the horrors you could find in an old second hand DS...

Like racket I use them just for the touch screen Im not how do I put it "Delicate with handhelds" I think its because of my big hands. And yes racket playing meteos does really mess up your screen protector or playing trauma center when your doing the challenges that you even have to use two stylus.
