Best places to import on the cheap?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Best places to import on the cheap?

Post by the7k »

Hey, I'm an American. I used to go to Play-Asia to get my import games... but wow. The prices are kinda outrageous. Moreover, they usually only carry... well, Asian stuff. I'm currently going through a great big hassle to get Agarest: Generations of War Collector's Edition, which is a European product. Had a pre-order with Game.co.uk, but now they don't seem to want to take my money.

Anyway, what are some good places that have newer imports, but don't charge out the ass for them?

I know Yukima mentioned going through a middleman to shop on some of Japan's auction sites for relatively cheap a few days ago(at least Pephary and somebody else got additional info from her), though for newer titles, I couldn't say. As far as Euro games are concerned, I honestly don't know. Shipping fees are gonna kill you either way, and hashirya's no longer able to be our man in Japan since he moved back to the states(or is about to). Maybe find a member who'll help you get a deal?

Can you blame them? With the US dollar taking a noise dive :)

NCSX.com? Dunno about price, but they have been arround for years and are top notch. Sometimes it worth the extra money for service.

Well, I just tried Amazon.co.uk. Haven't got a response yet confirming that it will be on its way, but at least the guy I ordered from said he accepts international orders. Only had to pay slightly more than I would have at Game.co.uk.

Hope this turns out alright, as I still would like to get the retail versions of Battle Phantasia, R&C:Quest For Booty and Siren: Blood Curse.
