Oh, I should have realized that they were spine cards. It still looks very utilitarian though. Almost sterile, which is not what I think of when it comes to Sega collections.
Boy I tell you what, are those some god dang video games?

I'm going to hold off on saying I'm impressed, as one can buy whatever they want if they throw enough money at it. Sure they have every game made, but it sounds like they just threw hundreds of dollars at the rare titles, making collecting an easy task, rather than looking for the best prices. I have more appreciation for the guy who found a new Ikaruga for $20 than the guy who simply did "buy it now" for $120. Also, are they really going to play any of it?

^ I'd wager a good portion of the games are either complete crap or average. In other words, hardly worth the time considering the better titles to be played.

That's kinda the problem with trying to buy every single game ever made and why I don't do it, aside from the financial factor. It's a different story for a console that never had many games released, such as the Virtual Boy, but I'd never dream of trying to buy every single game ever made for any console that has a substantial library as 80% of the collection would be junk games that I wouldn't even want to touch with gloves on.

Most of the games are Japan-only dating sims. The 32X library, on the other hand, would be a piece of cake to collect.

Save for Web of Fire of course, but that game is terrible anyway.

As a casual gamer, gotta say that collector is definitely hardcore! It's something I won't do, but amazed by it. I do say its best when you know the good games that are worth playing for each systems, rather than having a bunch of crappy games that no one wants to touch!

I suggest buy a few crappy games, for shits and giggles, but don't own EVERY crappy game. Thats like having a movie collection where 60% of your films are B and C level shit that is not so bad it's good, but rather so shitty that it hurts the collection as a whole.

I'd say 20% of my movie collection is comprised of bad titles, 10% of which are debatable in their "so bad it's good"ness, while my game collection averages a 75% positive critic rating. You can watch a shitty movie pretty easily, but playing a shitty game is a different story.
