I've been a wrestling fan since I was a young lad, and I've always rooted for the underdog. I hated Rick Rude and Million Dollar Man, because I was supposed to, and Hulk and Sting were the guys to love. Looking back, it was because they were that darn good at their jobs.
Back in the late 90's, ECW was a small, independent wrestling federation, that pushed the limits of "hardcore" mainstream here in the U.S. I was a huge fan of theirs until they folded up shop, and were subsequently bought by WWF(E). After that happened, I really wasn't into wrestling, as the WWE wrestlers and styles were stale to me. Insert TNA wrestling, which has fresh faces and a fresh style that caught my eye, but have those faces that we love, Like Sting, Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, and Scott Steiner. These vets mix in with people prolly nobody other than TNA fans know, like AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Hernandez, Matt Morgan, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelly, and Abyss.
This should all change, as today, The Hulkster signed with TNA, who has struggled to find an identity, and national exposure. This can make or break them, as they will probably push this signing into his media and book rounds, and bring an eye to their product. Hopefully, they can compete w/ the WWE on the same level, and create good competition to have a better show. I think as long as he's used right, this should be very interesting.

I remember as a kid thinking that wrestling was real. My grandfather used to tell me that it was fake and I didn't believe him until I went to a real (non-televised) match that was local. Then I realized that he was right and I stopped following wrestling.
I remember the days of watching Bob Backlund battle Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka in an epic steel cage match.

Yeah, the guy's gotta be pushing his mid-fifties or at most early sixties, getting back in the ring would be suicidal.
I'm guessing an announcer position or something of the like is much more plausible.

When we were kids me and my brother used to love watching wrestling. This was back in the day where the emphasis was still mostly on the matches and less on the drama. The bad guys were bad because they used cheap tactics, not because they were sleeping with someone's girlfriend. My brother still uses his screen name he took from his favorite wrestler: Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

I hate Jeff Jarret who is like running TNA. I cant stand that current WWE, and havent been able to watch it for several years now. With that said, I will probably tune in to see how they use the 56 year old Hulkster

I grew up in the hulkamania era in the 80's then I stayed with hogan through the 90's when he went to wcw yes even though people say wcw went under because of hogan and the politics that may be true in some cases but he made wcw better and killed wwe in the monday night wars for 84 weeks in a row with the whole nwo angle. The man is smart and knows wrestling wwe sucks now and so does tna there are no more characters, no storylines, no drama nothing the heels were better in the wwf days wcw days and the good guys were characters you can look up to. Those days are over but now with hogan being in tna and bischoff also in its gonna help and hogan says that he wont wrestle. I'm a huge hulkamaniac I still belive in his demandments for everyday living but even I dont want him to wrestle maybe a match here or there every 6 months or so o.k but thats it I hope it goes well for the hulkster but one match I would love too see Linda hogan getting a leg drop from the hulkster

Hulk Hogan is now 56 yrs old exactly. Not only he signed but Eric Bischoff also. Interesting signed if your a wrestling fan...
I don't follow wrestling as much as I used to but Vince Russo and Hulk Hogan did not get along during there WCW days backstage. Now their reunited in TNA Brotha!
also this just in:
According to Pwinsider.com, some sources have said that there have been at the very least, preliminary discussions between TNA and Ric Flair. This could be part of the deal that brought Hulk Hogan and Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment into the company.
WOOOOOOOH
Looks like Retro Wrestling is back!
