I'm talking about retail DSi ONLY games.

Yay for the Game Boy Color reference!Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:DSi ONLY games can utilize the DSi's extra ram, Camera's and other features such as the SD-Card slot for added functionality over the original DS and DS Lite, but I don't honestly see the DSi ONLY genre expanding outward much as developers would have to lose a significant amount of revenue by making the game accessible to only DSi owners which represent only a tiny percentage of actual DS system owners.

Ohhh, I see what you're saying. I was actually thinking that same thing, but I had no idea if that was what you were meaning when you said I referenced the GameBoy Color.MrPopo wrote:The DSi is just the Game Boy Color. Don't forget that the devs have the option of making DSi enhanced games that can use the features but will still play on old DS's, just like the Black cart GBC games. Then when the GBC got enough penetration they started releasing GBC only games.

I always treated the GBC as the next Game Boy, instead of just an upgrade; the addition of color to a handheld, extra ram, and an IR port is enough to call it a new console, in my opinion.MrPopo wrote:The DSi is just the Game Boy Color. If wikipedia is to be believed DSi consoles make up about 5% of the total, which isn't bad considering it's been out less than a year and has no games that utilize its features aside from a series of downloadable titles that are mostly not worth getting.Yukima wrote:(Is the DSi even selling that well? Most people I know have long decided to stick with their Lites - me included, because I still need the GBA port!)
