Don't you mean a consolized Mega Jet? Geez what kind of help is Racket hiring these days?

Nah, I like my screen and I don't like flying, so Nomad it is.

But it's cool, we'll just have to work out our differences while playing some Sega TeraDrive.

I have a plan to end this conflict. We shall establish a new name for Sgea's 16-bit machine, and that name shall be... the Super Master System!

Has anyone actually read what specific US thing had the Mega Drive name already in the US? I've read countless articles saying that Mega Drive was already in use or trademarked causing the US rename, but I don't think I've ever read what the actual item was.

I always thought that this problem was worse in the case of Street Fighter Alpha vs. Street Fighter Zero. I've actually had people "correct" me about it.

To be honest, I don't think either Alpha or Zero make any sense, since they come before SF2, not SF1.

If its a PAL unit I would call its a Mega Drive (Slow and Squashed graphics, crippled system) if its an NTSC unit its a Genny. I generally call it a MD as its what its called here, thus its what its called to me and always has been. Its also Sega's original name for the console.

For the sake of making things easier I will often call the system and its games Genny games because most users you talk to on the internet are American.

Except for pringles, they say on the tube 'potato crisps.' Makes em sound more different I guess ^_^

Like many Americans, I call the MD a Genesis. Not only do I think it's a cooler name, Genesis is plastered all over the system and game carts, so I will call it by that.

Pringles was forced to rename them to potato crisp because other chip companies mainly Frito Lay's was bringing the issue to court that they couldn't call them chips since pringles are made out of dried potato powder and not a slice of potato.

Now on the matter of Genesis/Megadrive I could care less what its called just don't tell me I am wrong for calling it whatever I do. On another not I don't personally like the name Mega CD and Mega 32X. I don't want to say Sega Mega CD. I see its suppose to be cool that it rhymes but comes off lame. If they wanted to go by measurements lets see. Drive (master system), Megadrive (Genesis), Gigadrive (Saturn), Teradrive (Dreamcast)

All those names make me wish the N64 was stilled called Ultra64, or Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System UNES.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

Here's a sticking point: The plural form of Genesis. You don't have two Genesises; you have two Genesi. That's right, Genesi. Anyone got a problem with how I pluralize Genesis? I'll fight you to the death over it!
