Yes, I would also be immensely satisfied with a book or graphic novel release to finish the story. It might even help to bolster more interest from the current generation for the series to be completed, as would a single ported release of Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2.

Oh yes...I'm totally excited for Sega to exhume the body of the long deceased Ryo Hazuki and shoving a giant metal rod up his ass to pantomime and mimic his movements for the joys of all us hopefuls. It's a travesty that they would do this. Why would they throw him in with the likes of Samba, Sonic and the rest of the gang. He does not belong in a game like this and it's frustrating to see Sega try and snag some extra cash from us by teasing us like this. There is no Shenmue 3 coming. They resurrected the character to spit on us all.

Umm, technically he couldn't be more at home than in a game that feature almost nothing but Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast characters alongside him.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Oh yes...I'm totally excited for Sega to exhume the body of the long deceased Ryo Hazuki and shoving a giant metal rod up his ass to pantomime and mimic his movements for the joys of all us hopefuls. I agree with Mod_Man. Me thinks you already have had one too many stiff drinksMod_Man_Extreme wrote:Umm, technically he couldn't be more at home than in a game that feature almost nothing but Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast characters alongside him.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Oh yes...I'm totally excited for Sega to exhume the body of the long deceased Ryo Hazuki and shoving a giant metal rod up his ass to pantomime and mimic his movements for the joys of all us hopefuls. Re: Ryo Hazuki Confirmed for Sega All-Stars Racing
Think of it like this though. You take these zany backgrounds, supercolorful characters that are all super cartoony and you throw in Ryo Hazuki on his Motorcycle and his forklift. That's just......degrading, I feel. This also gives me no real hope that they would continue the series since they put Ulala and Beat In Sega SuperStars Tennis..and where are their games?
I just think it doesn't fit the motif. It would be like adding Gannandorf to Mario Kart..it just doesn't fit the theme (Smash Bros. works simply because they represent all sides, the cartoony and the serious, where as the Sega All-Stars Racing is simply representing the whacky zany cartoon style).

I don't think he fits either from the look of the game. I think we rather have a new shenmue than Ryo racing against Sonic.
Thanks everyone...

But the zany cartoony style is what I think of when I picture Shenume and the Dreamcast era of Sega, plus when you really look at it Shenmue for all of it's authenticity and realism has a pretty damn zany and over the top storyline that I feel fits right in with all the other Sega mainstays.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Think of it like this though. How about we're just glad that Sega's even willing to admit the existence of Shenmue and not start demanding more from them.Gnashvar wrote:I don't think he fits either from the look of the game. I think we rather have a new shenmue than Ryo racing against Sonic.
After all millions of begging Shenmue fans can't be choosers now, can they?

Re: Ryo Hazuki Confirmed for Sega All-Stars Racing
Knowing Sega maybe we are going the wrong way about it. The more we demand something from them (2D fast Sonic, Shenmue) the less they do anything. Let's say we love the idea, then they will probably remove Ryo because of some technical issue.
For the record though. 99% sure I'll buy it just because it has Sega characters.
