I'm sure the VGA display is fantastic, but the Dreamcast looks pretty good just coming out the standard Red,White, Yellow cables.

I would definitely buy a Dreamcast. It has a great library of games and it's one of the cheapest retro gaming consoles you can get. 8)

Using a boot or swap disc is fairly simple - boot the system with the boot disc in the drive and swap it for your JP game when the appropriate message appears on screen.
in truth you he doesn't even need a boot disk unless he literaly imports a japanese game.
Reverend Finch you can download cdi formatted dreamcast games and burn them with DJ (my perfered) nero, or whatever. here's a site where you can get them. http://snesorama.us/board/showthread.php?t=15758
and there is a guide on racketboy that tells you how to burn game! ^^

also just so this is cleared up you do not need a mod chip for the dreamcast. just buy one (most likely the one you buy will be able to play backup's) and play! the dreamcast was the best thing i ever bought, period.

Right. That's what I was referring to. Nowhere does my statement dictate this is needed for burns.
