Conker: Live and Reloaded HDTV Problem
I've been trying to play a backup of the game Conker's Bad Fur Day on my original Xbox. I've tried the game on my SDTV with composite cables, and it works fine. But when I moved my Xbox down to my HDTV and hooked it up with component cables, but when I start the game, neither the audio or video load; I just get a blank screen. I also tried it on the HDTV with composite cables, but that didn't work either. I am loading the game from the Hard Drive, but I also tried the disc. What can I do to get this working?

Do any of your other consoles work on the HDTV? It almost sounds like something with your TV. Other than that I'm not really sure what would be causing the problem. Maybe something in your custom firmware. What are you running? Unleash X? XBMC?
Boy I tell you what, are those some god dang video games?

This is the only game I've had on any console that hasn't worked on this HDTV [except Wii virtual console games, hooked up with component cables, but that's another story]. I tried launching it in EvoX and XBMC; neither worked.

Does this happen on any other games?

Re: Conker: Live and Reloaded HDTV Problem
I've just recently bough myself an original XBox, and found many of the games won't auto-boot into 480p mode.
The trick seems to be that you need to power up the XBox without a game in it, let it go to the dashboard (or any other software you've installed on there), then insert your game and load it from there.
Fable: The Lost Chapters and Beyond Good and Evil are two games I have that screw up if I boot them direct, but are fine if I load them from the dashboard.

You have to set your Xbox to output in whatever your TV's resolution is through the dashboard's display settings (480p, 720p, 1080i (Use 1080i if your set is 1080p as that's the Xbox's max resolution.)) and as the system boots it does the little dance between your TV and the Xbox to let it know what it should output in. Leave it to Microsoft to try making a good and easy manual setting into an automatic piece of garbage I guess.elvis wrote:I've just recently bough myself an original XBox, and found many of the games won't auto-boot into 480p mode.
