Best harvest Moon game in the series

Yeah, I've spent the last month attempting to get people to stop playing FarmVille and go buy Harvest Moon games...

Honestly, Another Wonderful Life sounds like it's going to be your best bet if the gender of the main character is that important. I remember both A Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life being solid titles. Magical Melody felt a bit cutesy to me, though I did spend a lot of time in it.

Harvest Moon 64 is the best one Ive played. Its a Wonderful Life/Another Wonderful Life are quality titles, but they try to do too much at once and kinda fall flat. Thats not to say they are not good games, but compared to 64 they are not that great.

But if you factor in Rune Factory, Ill have to vote for that...

Well i found a copy of A Wonderful life for 15 bucks in mint condition and she loves it so far, we made a deal she stops playing farmville *shudder* and i bought her that i was surprised it was so cheap this is usually 50 bucks here but i aint complaining she loves it and i can stand watching he play it since i actually find it fun.....

Now i have a plan to get her off Vampire Wars ill get a copy of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines for her mwhahaha......

Harvest Moon meets an action rpg (Secret of Mana or Shining Soul specifically). Now dont get me wrong, the first one on the DS is buggy, but the second one and the Wii one are supposedly solid.

I didn't know FarmVille existed. That's one ugly looking game compared to Harvest Moon. And it has nothing on it on gameplay either.

Harvest Moon DS is my personal favorite. It's perfectly balanced, in my opinion. The 'Wonderful Life" games have you worrying about getting food for yourself, something I didn't like too much. HMDS has justt enough going on to keep you entertained, but not too much to frustrate you. Plus, it's portable.
