Sega was really onto something with the NetLink game play. No servers needed, no service to buy (other than long distance charges if they apply) and gaming via NetLink actually works pretty well. Too bad it didn't catch on and too bad there weren't more NL capable games made. These five NL capable games are all they ever made.

I don't see anything on the Daytona USA game that says Netlink Playable with the icon like on the other 4 games.

Is it on the bottom of the cover and has Japanese text?

No, the Daytona NL version had no special markings on the outside, it looks just like the regular Daytona USA CCE version of the game. The only difference is the disc inside and the additional NetLink manual.

I dunno, about $20 if I remember correctly. I got it from direct from Sega back in the day on one of their NetLink promotion programs which incidently was the only way to get this particular game. Thus why it is so rare.

I see, I was asking because it is really rare and what not. I typed in Netlink Daytona and nothing showed up on ebay...
