Sony is so crappy

Post by sv650touring »

How many instances of a pure 2D game looking better than a 3D game (on the same system in the same genre) can you think of? About amillion, I'd guess.

Neo Geo ports are perhaps a bit low-end graphics wise for a full price single game disc on PS2, but what about a game that pushed the PS2 or PS3 to its own 2D limits? I guess it will just never exist because Sony considers in unfashionable.

Is it just Sony USA? I mean, Sony did publish Vib Ribbon on PSX, which looks like utter crap technically (stylistically wonderful though).

It is just Sony USA vib ribbon never saw the light of day in North america. Only japan and europe.

You would think Nintendo and M$ would respond to sony usa's idiotic policy and approach say Konami.

I snagged this gem off Blackcats last week and boy is it one heck of a game. Beautiful graphics, great story, crazy big Bosses. Only knock on the game so far is the slowdown you get in the boss battles simply because they're soo BIG!

I've been absent from posting around here because I've been filling up the HDD on my PS2, I'm loving this console. By far the best RPG console I've ever played.

" the only significant issues that arise with the visuals is the slowdown with large numbers of sprites onscreen. Large numbers of Psyphers, enemy attacks and your character trying to counter strikes will literally bring the PS2 to its knees. "

If you played this on a PS3 would the new hardware help with slowdown or does it not work like that?

While it might be possible, I would wager that it wouldn't help.

In my opinion, if you're are actually going to buy a PS2 game, this should be it, so we can support the issue and see that more games like this are made.

Please don't pirate stuff like this if you actually like the game.

The Toys R Us I work at hasn't recieved any, two super Wal Marts nearby were sold out, grabbed 2nd-to-last copy from Gamestop on my lunch break. Pretty neat so far!
