Just bought a Turbo Duo!

Post by Unleaded Logic »

My wife is going to kill me, but it least I'll die with awesome games. What games should I get ahold of?

Quick and dirty short list, assuming you have a US machine, thus US cards.

Shmups
Blazing Lazers
Super Star Soldier
Soldier Blade
Air Zonk
Gate of Thunder
R-Type (if you don't have some other version already)

Pinball
Alien Crush
Devil's Crush (if you don't have it for Gen)

Neutopia if you like older Zelda games

Ninja Spirit if you like Ninja Gaiden

Lords of Thunder, Riot Zone (final fight rip off) and +1 for drac x! I used to have a burned copy of it and it ran great on the Duo.

Congratulations, you just bought one of the finest consoles ever built. Here's my full list of recommendations--a little long, I know:

http://timewarpgamer.com/topgames/tg16.html
http://timewarpgamer.com/topgames/tgcd.html

If I had to pick just a few, though (assuming that you're rocking a US Duo):

Dracula X
Gate of Thunder
Loom
Lords of Thunder
Ys I & II
Air Zonk
Bomberman '93
Devil's Crush
Military Madness

Out of curiosity, how's you acquire said Duo?
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

Is it worth getting Dracula X considering PSP got a translated and expanded remake (which includes the original game)?

Of course, I still need to find a goddamn Super CD-ROM2.

To add to what others have already mentioned,

Dungeon Explorer
Sidearms
Spriggan
Star Parodier
The Legendary Axe...well, I like it!

and I'll +1 for the Crush series, Blazing, Madness, Y's and Drac X.

Forget about the Arcade card and Super Grafx, stick with Super CD's.

Fun site for Turbo/PCE owners: www.pcedaisakusen.net and of course THE one and only, www.pcenginefx.com.
