I bought a red 09 Matrix XRS last year and love it. It has all the options I wanted like bluetooth, sat radio, steering wheel controls, sunroof and easy to use controls. I did some minor tweaks like increasing the wheel base and intake. It gets around 35mpg and is pretty quick. I can't wait for the TRD supercharger to come out. Thats a pretty nice Toyota though Jreece.

The matrix is the only toyota out right now that I think is appealing, even if it's basically a hatchback corolla.

I only looked at Camry/Corolla/Prius and compared them to Accord/Altima/Passat. For me, it was a toss-up between Accord & Altima and I went with the Altima for the better MPG.

You didn't look at the new mazda 6 or ford fusion? Those are the only midsize sedans I'd even look at. . .the altima coupe is nice though, although I'd only buy it with a manual, wouldn't want to go near those cvt transmissions yet. Even the accord coupe is pretty good looking though, considering honda is trying really hard to beat toyota at the king of boring game.

I have to add to the Toyota love too. I have a '92 Pickup (that's actually the model name) that's been wrecked several times before i got it. It's now a secondary car for us and we use it mostly to haul around stuff for the yard and to help family. Best truck ever in my opinion, beat it up all you want, neglectic, etc and still turns over the next day for more use.

I'm considering one of their new FJs as my next car actually though I've never been a big fan of sporty cars as the one in the original post.

The new Fiesta is a sweet little car (at least from the reviews I've read). Jeremy Clarkson even loves the little bugger.

I'm a Toyota fan, but nothing they make is anything remotely close to being exciting. Mazda on the other hand, nearly all of their vehicles beg to be driven in a "spirited" manner...
