Seriously. Those have to be two of my most disappointing video game experiences of all time.the7k wrote: ...the admission of Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts II... It makes me lose faith in the RPG community as a whole.
I really want to play the PS version. The only Ogre game I've played was The Knight of Lodis and say what you will, but it's probably my favorite TRPG. I'm actually saving up for it right now, but may just end up asking for it for Christmas. I'm grateful for their work, but damn Atlus and their small printingsBreetai wrote:Sadly... I've never played Tactics Ogre, yet I own both the SNES version of Ogre Battle and the Playstation version.dlmvii wrote:The lack of Tactics Ogre - Let Us Cling Together in this list disturbs and angers me on a very primal level.

Sure I dont agree with the list I have to say one thing, at least it wasnt what I expected.
I am slightly happy to see one list with FFVII not taking top spot, 10 points for that.

Yeah, but to replace it with FFX? That's like trying to overcome a bubble gum addiction by taking up smoking.emwearz wrote: I am slightly happy to see one list with FFVII not taking top spot, 10 points for that.

Some of these games really did push boundaries and offered experiences that were completely new at the time (DQ III, Chrono Trigger, FF VII). But the rest of the list consists of a handful of good but not genre-changing RPGs (Persona 4, Tales of the Abyss), and then some entries that will leave you scratching your head until it's raw and bloody (KH II, Fallout 3??).

Persona 3 FES is better than 4, in my opinion.

I do like that Dragon Quest III made the list. By far one of the best in the DQ series, and definitely one of the top console RPGs of the 8-bit era.
Playing: Etrian Odyssey III, Final Fantasy III, Parasite Eve

6. Dragon Quest IX
How can a game just released be on the list. I thought the Japanese had better taste in RPGs. The list is pretty much just newer releases if you count the DS remakes.
