Can't say I'm a fan of how the Japanese region cases look.

EXTREME! Mod Edit: Made Title NSFW.
(Dr.C here, sorry, should have thought about that)

Those look more like spinecards than the actual cases. Not that there's much of a difference, but it's really impressive that they all have the cards still on them. He must not take 'em off the shelf much.

He must have spent tens of thousands on that collection - wonder if he plays them all or just an avid collector?

I really doubt it's possible to play each and every one of those games, at least not for more than 30 minutes each. Then again...............

By the way, can any Dreamcast collectors here tell me what's with the fascination with the spine cards? I too collect Dreamcast games (though my mission isn't to collect every game ever released) and don't particularly care much for them. If a game I buy happens to include it, great... if not, meh.

Spine cards are like collectible trading cards for each respective game they come with, it's a pretty cool bonus that while not necessary is nice to have.

EDIT! Moved topic to the Game Rooms section!

I also don't care about the spine cards since they are totally useless. As long as my games have the case, instructions and game itself in good condition, I'm happy. But if you ever want to consider selling a game, at least you can get a little extra money for it if it still has the spine card. I like to fold mine up and put them inside the instruction booklet, instead of throwing them out.

Ah, I do the same if the game comes with it... just neatly tucking it into the manual. I've never opened any of my sealed Dreamcast games but if I ever do I'll probably hang onto the spine cards for the sake of completeness.
