Damn, great video, but on PSP? I really wanted to play this on a big television. I might have to research if a PSP is worth owning now because of this. Also, has it been announced for the US?

It's a shmup, does it matter if it comes to the US? Not like we lose anything without a translation.

I meant for region coding, but I looked at Play Asia and it seems most of the PSP games are region free.

You can connect some models of PSP (2000 and 3000 I believe) to a TV and play on the big screen with the right cables.

2000,3000, and Go's will play on the TV. Although, it will be displayed in the PSP's native resolution, so unless you can zoom on your TV. You will be playing in a little box in the middle of the screen.

Also you won't be able to play (as far as I know) on a CRT unless its 480p or better.

The PSP has a handful of shmup gems;

Gradius collection (US)
Star Soldier
Salamander portable
Parodius portable
Twinbee Portable
Rei Choaniki
Soldier collection (PC engine ports)
Strikers 1945 (you'd be better off downloading this one from the PS network, 12 bucks versus 45)

Plus you've got the Metal Slug anthology, SNK Classics, and both Capcom Classics titles.
I still need to pick up Twinbee and Soldier collection. But in my opinion, a PSP is definitely worth owning.

I find myself less and less of a fan of PSP emulations and ports. The small screen means a small resolution, which doesn't translate well to a larger screen. There's also issues with co-op (not that co-op matters a great deal with shooters), not to mention that terrible, terrible d-pad.
