Somewhat different. Interesting point of view that can go totally wild. But overall good movie. Changes history as we know it

Princess Mononoke
The Great Escape
The first I rank in the top fifty films of all time. The second, while also great, is much lower. Then I moved on to watching Get Smart and that was the bulk of my weekend. Would you Believe...?

Went and saw Where The Wild Things Are over the weekend. I thought it was actually really well done.

Joe Hisaishi in Budokan
All Ghibli fans need to see this. It is just a concert of Joe Hisaishi music but it showcases 1080p versions of Mononoke, Nausicaa, Porco Rosso, Kiki's, and a couple others. It was just incredible though and through.

Saw this sunday. I like it when my favorite childhood books are made into movies that DON'T suck. Great fun for kids and adults alike.Flak Beard wrote:Went and saw Where The Wild Things Are over the weekend. I thought it was actually really well done.
I also need to find some of those pajamas in an adult size ASAP. I will even wear them to work.

I'll try to grab it. Love Gihbli films.
A few weeks ago watched Ged Senki but not felt the usual magic. Before that I saw Kiki's delivery service and it had the magic. Also recommend Brave Story.
Catched up on some old movies this month: Little miss sunshine, Knocked up, Rescue Dawn and Seven Swords (great chinese film).
Oh and Drag me to hell, it was fun.

Couple's Retreat: I didn't really enjoy this. Certainly not my kind of movie, but I my friends seemed to like it. What I got out of it was the line "Monsoon of respect" sounds suspiciously is like "Storm of loyalty" and that the moral of the story is to play guitar hero and eat at AppleBees.
The Root of All Evil?: Richard Dawkins is so much fun to watch.
