Of any of the titles, that one there is the least surprising to me (especially considering the bias slant to the whole list anyways). I wouldn't of even been surprised if it hit #1 personally, not to say I think it deserves #1, but it certainly doesn't surprise me with the fan base behind it.AwesomeMonstar wrote:I can understand the nostalgia factor here, but really, The first zelda isn't that good IMO. I mean, i can understand it being on the list, I know it revolutionary and what not, but really, I just found it frustrating as crap to go back to today. Where most first party nintendo nes games are timeless I always found that this one aged like crap.
Yet again, on the list I can understand, but in the top 5? Dumb.
In all the top 10 games are all games that anyone and their brother has seen, played, and still can remember the name of today. Yeah we say yawn, we're retro gamers... but for anyone who probably hasn't picked up an NES controller in a decade, all 10 of the top ten would probably be listed off of games they remembered from childhood... Mario and Zelda being the firsts they'd probably list.
I hated the NES personally, even as a kid the library usually felt crap to me (I don't know how many times I'd get back from the video store with a rental and be pissed I blew 5 dollars on yet another shit tastic game... Nintendo Seal of Quality my ASS). And still those top 10 games are all games I played and enjoyed to some extent.
