Oh, whoops.
I misread your initial post, looks like the promotions and price management departments at corporate are going to be getting chewed out by the bosses over this screw up.

Why he hell do places sell NEW GAMES...THAT ARE OPENED!!!!...target doesnt do it..best buy doesnt do it...toys r us doesnt do it...WTF?! are you telling me only GAME STORES get copies that are OPEN?!?no....that just tells me that someone THERE opened the fuckin game and instead of ordering MORE before stock runs out....they sell the goddamn ones that people at the store have already cracked open!!!

All GameStops still carry GBA and Gamecube games.
I can point you to several around Atlanta that don't. I have verified this within the last week and a half or so.
GS in Atlanta doesn't count (to corporate at least (sad, but true), now do they just never have any in stock or do they reuse trade and sale of GBA/GCN in general as that is against current corporate policy and after a quick demandment of their district manager you can actually get most of those stores employees fired if they've been knowingly breaking corporate policy to keep their workload lower than if they did accept GCN/GBA trades.

I never ordered anything from GameStop but I'm thinking about it. What is the quality of the CD/DVD they send you? I'm talking used here. Do they polish or repair scratched discs before sending them? Or they just check that they start up? Shipping for me is going to be expensive so expecting to return it and get another copy in case it doesn't work is not that great of an option.
There are some so called "deals" in used games that are quite frankly far from it. I mean Sonic Unleashed new is 19.99 and used its 17.99 quite a bargain if you get the used one
last time I ORDERED games from Gamestop, I was disappointed. I ordered 3 PS2 games. All 3 of them came without boxart or manuals. And one of them was so scratched that it wouldn't boot.

Considering both copies are opened...WTF is the difference? lol.
Ordering online has a nice warning...or I call it a warning "Some games will not come with original manuals or original cases" meaning...this is the 97% of crap that people do not buy in the stores, so we are going to ship it to you and give you that warning.

It's GS corporate policy, I can't do anything about it, but at least it's m personal and our store's policy to not allow employees to check out new software at all.

I'd like to know more about this. Is Atlanta special, or just considered a lost cause? If so, why?

I have never traded anything in to Gamestop, not do I plan to, so I can't really answer the question. I just know that several of the stores around here no longer stock GCN or GBA.
This summer I was up in Maryland and once went to three in one day to get some GBA titles on the buy 2 get 1 free sale. All three carried both GCN and GBA. One actually even had the Resident Evil Collector's Edition chainsaw controller.
