Feeling like some Sega music?

Post by Original_Name »

I updated the Sega music MySpace I created nearly a year ago now; hope you guys enjoy it:

http://www.myspace.com/thesegamusicgallery

Tracklisting for those who look before they leap:

Jet Set Medley - Jet Set Radio
Land Master AXV-25 - Phantasy Star IV
Skies of Arcadia Theme - Skies of Arcadia
Final Boss Theme - Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Black Cat Moon - Virtua Fighter 2
Moon Beach - Streets of Rage
Christmas on Dobuita Street - Shenmue
Soft Museum - NiGHTS into Dreams...
Sona Mi Areru Ec Sancitu - Panzer Dragoon Saga
Space Harrier Theme - Space Harrier

I had to remove a few songs due to space issues, but I have them in the "About" section in the form of YouTube videos... as well as a few tracks I couldn't bear to leave out... I'm gonna have to make another one soon). They are as follows:

Shenhua's Theme - Shenmue
Chu Chu Rocket Theme - Chu Chu Rocket
Death Egg Zone Act 1 - Sonic & Knuckles
Desert Replay - Sega Rally Championship
Greedy Game - Ristar
Phantasy - Phantasy Star II

Soft Museum is my favorite song from NiGHTS. I love it. :D

God, it has the most gorgeous climaxes, doesn't it? It starts out so peacefully and becomes this overblown explosion of God knows how many synthesizers without ever losing its playfulness. And whatever effect it is that comes in around 1:16 gets me every time. For a long time it was my favorite Sega track ever, now that I've gotten into their soundtracks more, I have no idea, though.

I might consider making just a video game music page in the future... just so I can put the Strite Theme from Thunder Force IV up.

It's definately in my top 5. Along with Green Hill Zone, the first track from Ristar, and Ice Cap Zone.

At the risk of turning this into a "UR TOP FIVE SEGA TRAX!!" thread, I have no idea what their order are, but here's five:

Soft Museum, Christmas on Dobuita Street, Jet Set Medley, Space Harrier Theme, and... *tries to decide between Sonic 3's Final Boss Theme, Death Egg Zone, and Shenhua's Theme; has nervous breakdown*.

Okay, now after changing the damn thing around a million times, I think I'm happy with the tracklisting.

So just a quick off topic aside, but I just realized your avatar is the sheep from Dischord. :)
